Sports Performance Director
Tara Romeo is an NSCA certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist and an NASM certified Corrective Exercise Specialist. She began her career at the Professional Athletic Performance Center as an intern in 2009, after graduating from Florida Atlantic University with her Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science. Upon completion of her internship, she was hired as a Sports Performance Coach. In January of 2012, Tara was promoted to the position of Assistant Director, and took on daily operating duties as well as training responsibilities. In 2014, she became the Assistant Sports Performance Director of the PAPC.
Prior to joining the team at Professional, Tara gained experience as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer at Florida Atlantic University, Tropical Fitness, and Powerhouse Gym. In addition to her experience training clients, Tara also has experience as an athlete, having served as Captain of her college rugby team and competed in the Empire State Games for Olympic Weightlifting. Tara has worked with a varied clientele, from youth to professional athletes. She especially enjoys working with explosive contact-sport athletes, and also working with athletes who have been injured to assist them in gaining the skills, strength, and confidence to return to play successfully.
